Custom Motorcycle Race Suits Australia

A custom motorcycle race suit is built from your own measurements rather than picked off a size chart. Motorce race suits are cut to a twenty-point measurement profile, in cowhide or kangaroo leather, with CE Level 2 armour throughout. Fitted at our Perth showroom or by measurement form, and shipped Australia-wide.

Why off-the-rack race leathers don't fit

Stock sizing assumes your chest, arm length, inseam and shoulder width all sit at the same point on an average curve. Almost nobody's do. Most riders end up sizing for the widest measurement and accepting that everything else is loose, which is a comfort problem on the road and a safety problem on the track.

It matters because CE armour only performs the way it's rated for when it's actually sitting over the joint. A suit that's roomy in the shoulders lets the armour migrate during a slide, so the pad that was meant to take the impact isn't there when it lands. We wrote about this in more detail in how motorcycle leathers should actually fit.

Cowhide or kangaroo

Both are available across the Motorce Pro Series. The short version:

Cowhide Kangaroo
Abrasion resistance Excellent Excellent at lower weight
Weight Heavier Noticeably lighter
Thickness Thicker hide Thinner for the same protection
Best for Road riding, track days Racing, hot conditions
Cost More affordable Premium

Cowhide is the sensible default for most riders. Kangaroo earns its price if you're racing competitively or riding in heat, where the weight difference is felt over a full session.

One piece or two piece

A one-piece suit is the standard requirement at most Australian circuits and gives the cleanest fit through the waist. A two-piece connects with a full-circumference zip and is treated as equivalent by many track day organisers, with the advantage that you can wear the jacket on its own off the track. Check your specific circuit's policy before ordering if track use is the priority.

Common questions

How much does a custom race suit cost?

Motorce Pro Series custom race suits start at $1,299 AUD, including CE Level 2 armour, back protector and knee sliders as standard.

How long does it take?

Around four to six weeks from the point your design proof is approved and measurements are confirmed.

Can I get my race number and sponsor logos on it?

Yes. Race numbers, sponsor panels and team branding are all part of the design process at no separate charge.

Do you make women's and junior suits?

Suits are cut to individual measurements rather than to a men's or women's block, so the same process applies regardless. Talk to us about junior sizing.

What if the measurements are wrong?

Made-to-measure suits can't be returned unless faulty, which is why we'd rather measure you in person if you're in Perth. If you're measuring at home, the guided form checks your numbers against each other and flags anything that doesn't add up before you send it.

Do you ship outside Perth?

Yes, Australia-wide.
